Rate Classifications - The Cooperative has developed the rates based upon a cost of service study with respect to historical cost components. Rates are designed to group like accounts with similar characteristics and cost components. The following rates are described here: Residential, All-Electric Residential, General, Small Commercial Single Phase, Small Commercial Three Phase, and Large Power. Rate Assignment - The Cooperative will assign an account to a respective rate schedule. Assignments will be based upon projected or actual use of supplied electrical energy. The Cooperative may reassign rate schedules upon: confirmation of usage or change in load and/or usage characteristics. This assignment can originate from Cooperative or member/customer request.
Predominate Use - If a customer has more than one use for electricity, the rate class shall be assigned based on the predominate use or the Cooperative may require separate metering.
Agreement - This rate schedule may be changed by order or consent of regulatory authorities having jurisdiction or by the Cooperative Board of Directors. Service hereunder is subject to provisions of Cooperative Tariff of Electric Service. A fixed term agreement may be required for new accounts requiring a line extension.
Application - Service under this rate is available to all accounts where service is primarily domestic use associated with the operation of a single residence where one or more individuals reside full time. Electrical service is provided at one point of service and measured with one meter.
Type of Service - Single or three phase service at the Cooperative standard secondary distribution voltages, where available. Where service of the type desired by the Customer is not already available at the point of delivery, additional charges under the Cooperative line extension policy and special contract arrangements may be required prior to service being furnished.
Monthly Billing - The monthly bill is made up of three components: Customer charge, Energy charge, and any billing adjustments. The customer charge is $13.50 per month when the customer requires 25 kVA or less of transformer capacity. Any capacity in excess (single phase) will increase the minimum by $1.00 per kVA. For three phase service the customer charge will be $1.00 per kVA. Energy will be billed at $0.02061 per KWh. The Billing adjustments may include a power cost recovery factor and/or any applicable sales or use taxes attributable to the use of electrical energy at this account location.
Minimum Charge - Each billing period the customer shall be obligated to pay the customer charge and/or any amount authorized under the Cooperative line extension agreement whether or not any energy is actually used.
Application - This rate is applicable to residential type service through one point of service as described in Residential Electric Service with the following special conditions:
Electric Water Heater: Minimum 30 gallon tank of standard approved type. All heaters shall be equipped with two thermostatically controlled, non-inductive heating elements with the thermostat so connected as to allow only one element to operate at a time.
Electric Range and Oven: May be range or oven combinations or separately installed units.
Heating: At least four (4) KW of permanently installed electric heaters or heat pump. Electricity must be the primary source of heat for the residence.
To qualify for this rate, the residence must not have propane or natural gas plumbed into the residence or connected to external heating units.
Ground source heat pumps and/or heat pump water heaters can be substituted for items 1 and 4 above.
Type of Service - Single or three phase service at the Cooperative standard secondary distribution voltages, where available. Where service of the type desired by the Customer is not already available at the point of delivery, additional charges under the Cooperative line extension policy and special contract arrangements may be required prior to service being furnished.
Monthly Billing - The monthly bill is made up of three components: Customer charge, Energy charge, and any billing adjustments. The customer charge is $14.00 per month when the customer requires 25 kVA or less of transformer capacity. Any capacity in excess (single phase) will increase the minimum by $1.00 per kVA. For three phase service the customer charge will be $1.00 per kVA. Energy will be billed at $0.02061 per KWh for summer usage (May through October) and $0.01811 for winter usage (November through April). The Billing adjustments may include a power cost recovery factor and/or any applicable sales or use taxes attributable to the use of electrical energy at this account location.
Minimum Charge - Each billing period the customer shall be obligated to pay the customer charge and/or any amount authorized under the Cooperative line extension agreement whether or not any energy is actually used.
Application - This schedule is applicable to all accounts taking single phase service from a single point of delivery and measured through on meter that do not qualify as a full time residence. Accounts are for the following purposes:
non-permanent residences
residential related accounts (water pumps, outbuildings, etc.)
stock water pumps
community and public buildings
farm and ranch related accounts.
All accounts must require less than 38 kVA of dedicated transformer capacity.
Type of Service - Single phase service at the Cooperative standard secondary distribution voltages, where available. Where service of the type desired by the Customer is not already available at the point of delivery, additional charges under the Cooperative line extension policy and special contract arrangements may be required prior to service being furnished.
Monthly Billing - The monthly bill is made up of three components: Customer charge, Energy charge, and any billing adjustments. The customer charge is $14.00 per month when the customer requires 25 kVA or less of transformer capacity. Any capacity in excess will increase the minimum by $1.00 per kVA. Energy will be billed at $0.02936 per KWh for summer usage (May through October) and $0.02936 for winter usage (November through April). The Billing adjustments may include a power cost recovery factor and/or any applicable sales or use taxes attributable to the use of electrical energy at this account location.
Minimum Charge - Each billing period the customer shall be obligated to pay the customer charge and/or any amount authorized under the Cooperative line extension agreement whether or not any energy is actually used.
Application - This rate schedule is applicable to all accounts requiring single phase power and energy in a commercial endeavor (except for livestock watering). Accounts shall be limited to less than 100 kVA of dedicated transformer capacity (except for grain storage facilities and out door public lighting facilities, i.e. ball field light.
Type of Service - Single phase service at the Cooperative's standard secondary distribution voltage, where available. Where service of the type desired by the Customer is not already available at the point of delivery, additional charges under the Cooperative line extension policy and special contract arrangements may be required prior to service being furnished.
Monthly Billing - The monthly bill is made up of three components: Customer charge, Energy charge, and any billing adjustments. The customer charge is $15.00 per month when the customer requires 15 kVA or less of transformer capacity. Any capacity in excess of 15 kVA will increase the minimum by $1.00 per kVA. Energy will be billed at $0.02557 per KWh for 0 to 5000 KWh and $0.02157 for all KWh above 5000. The Billing adjustments may include a power cost recovery factor and/or any applicable sales or use taxes attributable to the use of electrical energy at this account location.
Minimum Charge - Each billing period the customer shall be obligated to pay the customer charge and/or any amount authorized under the Cooperative line extension agreement whether or not any energy is actually used.
Application - This rate schedule is applicable to all accounts requiring three phase power and energy in a commercial endeavor plus other public buildings, churches, and community buildings requiring three phase power. Accounts shall be limited to less than 100 kVA of dedicated transformer capacity. Grain storage, churches, and community buildings and out door public lighting can be sized up to 301 kVA.
Type of Service - Three phase service at the Cooperative standard secondary distribution voltages, where available. Where service of the type desired by the Customer is not already available at the point of delivery, additional charges under the Cooperative line extension policy and special contract arrangements may be required prior to service being furnished.
Monthly Billing - The monthly bill is made up of three components: Customer charge, Energy charge, and any billing adjustments. The customer charge is $30.00 per month when the customer requires 30 kVA or less of transformer capacity. Any capacity in excess of 30 kVA up to 100 kVA will increase the minimum by $1.00 per kVA. For all transformer capacity in excess of 100 kVA, the customer charge will increase by $0.50 per kVA. Energy from 0 to 7500 KWh will be billed at $0.02557 per KWh, 7500 - 15,000 KWh will be billed at $0.01906 per KWh, and over 15,000 will be billed at $0.01706. The Billing adjustments may include a power cost recovery factor and/or any applicable sales or use taxes attributable to the use of electrical energy at this account location.
Minimum Charge - Each billing period the customer shall be obligated to pay the customer charge and/or any amount authorized under the Cooperative line extension agreement whether or not any energy is actually used.
Application - This rate schedule applies to all accounts (except grain facilities and out door lighting) requiring over 100 kVA of transformer capacity. An account will be provided through a single point of delivery and meter. Service will be for commercial and industrial uses to include oil or gas pumping or producing, retail, warehouse, cotton gin, aquaculture, irrigation and other accounts
Type of Service - Single or Three Phase service at available primary or secondary distribution voltages. Where service of the type desired by Customer is not already available at the point of delivery, additional charges under the Cooperative line extension policy and special contract arrangements may be required prior to service being furnished.
Monthly Billing - The monthly bill is made up of these components: Customer charge, Demand charge - Facilities, Demand charge - Power supply, Energy charge - Facilities, Energy charge - Power supply, and any billing adjustments. The customer charge is $1.00 per kVA for the first 100 kVA, $0.50 per kVA for 101 - 500 kVA, and $0.25 for all kVA in excess of 500 kVA per month but no less than $75.00 per month. Demand charge - Facilities will be billed at $4.00 per KW of maximum demand. This amount will be applied to the maximum kilowatt demand established during any consecutive fifteen minute interval during the billing cycle. Actual demand each billing cycle will be used but not less than 85% of the highest demand recorded during the preceding 11 months. Demand charge-Power Supply Demand Adjustment is the amount derived each month from Cooperative wholesale billing for each amount and will be applied to the Power Supply Demand component arrived at each month. Maximum kilowatt for demand for power supply will be that consecutive 15 minute period of maximum kilowatt usage during the period from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. during the months of June - September but no less that 85% of energy demand recorded during the previous 11 month period. Energy charge-Facilities $0.00415 per KWh for all KWh during cycle. Energy charge-Power Supply is an adjustment to be derived each billing cycle from the wholesale power bill and will be the total energy charge after all adjustments as taken from the same period's wholesale bill. This amount will be multiplied against all monthly consumed electrical energy in KWh during the billing cycle.
Primary Service Discount. If service is
provided at primary distribution voltage, the monthly rate shall be reduced as
follows:

Demand charge-Power Supply will be reduced by 3%.
(2)
Energy charge Facilities and Power Supply will be reduced by 3%.
The Cooperative may meter at secondary voltage and adjust billing for
transformation losses.
Billing adjustments Energy demand and Energy/Energy Components will be calculated monthly. Accounts will be subject to sales tax adjustments. Measured Demands can be adjusted for power factor.
